Aufgaben
The Programme “Transformation of Economic and Social Systems” at IDOS is looking for a research assistant to contribute to the research project “Fair Globalisation II” which analyses current topics in international trade, investment and finance through an economic and political lens. It is guided by the question of how to create a global economic order that contributes to achieving the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and thereby ensures a fairer and more inclusive globalisation. Tasks typically include literature and data searches, literature reviews, quantitative tasks such as merging, cleaning and/or data analysis, and facilitation in and around workshops and conferences.Qualifikation
Applicants must- be enrolled at a German University in a BA or MA programme, but not yet have an MA/MSc degree
- study economics, political science, sociology, psychology, or related subjects,
- have quantitative and software skills (STATA, R, Python, etc.),
- be enrolled at least one more year at their current university,
- have a strong interest in the topic of development and/or sustainability,
- be motivated and contribute pro-actively to the projects,
- have strong English language skills (C1 level),
- be able to work independently and deliver tasks reliably and on time
